Certain things are belabored beyond tolerance (the Human Torch needed to be dialed back a ton) and others rushed. Unfortunately the execution is very hit or miss. I can say that the FF story deals with some of the side effects of the "One More Day" mindwipe, that 24/7 manages to highlight a large number of the supporting cast while still keeping Peter the central focus and that there are numerous interesting ideas and developments here. It's difficult to summarize without spoilers because a lot of significant things happen, rapidly and somewhat in sequence. The majority of this collection is comprised of the two-issue team-up with the Fantastic Four titled "Face Front" and the three issue resulting story that the trade is named for.

This volume shows Peter's development and how he deals with this crazy time and like the rapid change of things happening with his supporting character so that when he gets back he is in for a shock and introducing Michelle and all and finally the whole him vs J cube angle that makes this relationship even more complex and I am loving the strange dynamics of this issue coupled with the art of Barry Kitson which was so good, probably one of the best ever. This was quite fun! Peter and FF go to the Macroverse again but this time they get lost in there for quite some time and we see that a civil war between the Dregans and a guy called Patronus has been going on for quite some time and its becoming a lot for Peter to take in and there is the squabble with Johnny about secret identity and all, and its fascinating to see that but then peace comes in and we see a montage of events that transpire quickly since they have been trapped here for a long time and we see Jay Sr and Aunt May together and J-cube becoming the mayor of NYC and when Pete comes back he is in for a shock.Īnd so to challenge Jonah he is Spidey 24*7 and its fun to see him helping people and make news while J cube targets him and he evades but when the new Vulture comes in despite his exhaustion he fights him and we see the crash at the stadium and things go to their old way until we see Osborn and why Peter is feeling that way and so he has to deal with that fact.
